Route:  The trail is a steady climb and hard-packed.  We will hike the loop counter-clockwise.


Hike  level: This is lollipop hike of about 5 miles with about 1167’ of elevation gain.  Hiking pace will average about 2 mph and we will stop at two vistas along the way for snacks.  Anticipate 3 hours for the hike, plus driving time.


Event Details: 

* Meet at Quinn's Junction near the restrooms for an on-time carpool departure at 9:00 am. The leader lives in Midway, so for those of you meeting at Quinn's, please organize yourselves for the drive to Wasatch State Park.  If you plan to meet the group at the Wasatch State Park Visitor's Center, please be there by 9:20 am.


*  Parking at the Wasatch State Park Visitor's Center requires either a Utah State Park Pass, or $10 per car ($5.00 for seniors).

* Dogs are welcome on this hike.

* Cell service is generally good

* Please remember the 4 hiking essentials including good hiking or trail footwear, sunscreen, a shade hat, water, and rain gear.  Bring hiking poles if you want and snacks to munch on.

* Please check the club calendar on the morning of the hike, in case of cancellation due to weather.

* All participants are required to sign the Club’s Activity Release Form which will be provided by the leader or you can conveniently sign online when you register. During this period of transition, we will have both electronic and physical waivers.

* REGISTERING for the event helps the leader plan and you can sign the PCMSC Activity Waiver electronically.  You can also see who else is coming to carpool!
