Backcountry training moderate hike Empire to Jupiter

Route Details: Moderate hike from Empire to Jupiter, about 5 miles, 1050' elevation gain, about 2.5 hours

Event Details:

*As our first training hike of the season we will review backcountry ski routes from Empire Pass parking, climbing up to Jupiter Peak. The south facing terrain off the ridge line is terrain we ski in our introductory tours.  More challenging

lines occur the closer you get to the peak.  

*We will meet in Holiday Village 4 Cinema, 1776 Park Avenue to carpool for an on time departure of 9am. Note for those of you who are newer members, the former Holiday Village 4 Cinema is between Kearns Blvd and Freshmarket and next to First Community Bank.

*Empire parking lot charges for parking unless you live in 84060 and have registered your vehicle.   We can take up to 7 people in our car

*Cell phone service is available.

*Dogs are welcome.
